Overlooking Wadi Arkam, Asir Province, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by H.R.H. The Prince of Wales
The Prince of Wales has visited many places and captured the beauty of the scenery through art presentation. Among his lithographs, “Overlooking Wadi Arkam, Asir Province, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia” is probably one of his representative works which totally presents the serenity and splendor of the mountains.
H.R.H. The Prince of Wales visited Asir Province, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in November 1999. He comments: “Painting in the Asir mountains is very challenging as the light and colors shift continually throughout the day. I have tried to capture something of the grandeur of the scenery, the peaceful atmosphere and the effect of sunlight on the serried ranks of mountains”
The lithograph carries the signature of The Prince of Wales. Supported by the Certificate issued by the publisher, the authenticity and collectable value of the art piece is further assured. This is definitely a distinctive artwork since not many people are able to own a painting drawn by the royal family. Also, it is a meaningful piece as it is sold to benefit The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Foundation, which distributes funds to a wide range of causes in the United Kingdom and other parts of the world.
